What is the Renaissance MIS?

Renaissance is our Management Information System.

Renaissance has been purpose built by our own development team to facilitate the management of the catalogue and photography production process.


It is designed to empower our clients with a completely transparent view of a job’s current status,
complete with a full audit trail of activity on its pages, products and images.

Access is available 24x7 through a standard web browser from anywhere.
Use of the system is not restricted to the traditional pre-press stage. It can be used to plan
production from conception to the mailing of the catalogue.

Pages – Pages can be viewed, annotated, approved and downloaded from the system. A full
audit trail including each user action, with date and time can be viewed on individual pages, in an
online chart format or report.

Products – Products supplied to us for photography are tracked in the system using its built-in
QR bar code facility. In the case of Photography this allows ec2i and our clients to record the
supply, location and return of all products supplied to us.

Images – The images photographed in our studio or images supplied to us for retouching can also be tracked within the system. Specifically shots of products done in our studio are automatically linked to the supplied product in the system, allowing for complete monitoring of the process.
Typical key stages recorded in the system are Styled, Photographed, Retouched and Cut Out.
